Setup & Support

Everything you need to get started.

Step-by-step guides for every platform. From unboxing your Cronus Zen to dominating ranked — we've got you covered.

Guide 1

What is the Cronus Zen?

The Cronus Zen is a small hardware device that sits between your controller and your console or PC. Aboki scripts (GamePacks) run on the Zen to fine-tune your controller input in real time.

  1. 1Your controller plugs into the Zen.
  2. 2The Zen plugs into your console or PC.
  3. 3You load an Aboki script (GamePack) onto the Zen using Zen Studio.
  4. 4The Zen applies the script to your inputs in real time while you play.

Tip: Aboki scripts operate at the controller input layer only. No game files are modified.

Guide 2

Install Zen Studio

Zen Studio is the free official Cronus app you use to load and manage scripts on your Zen. It runs on Windows and macOS.

  1. 1Download Zen Studio from the official Cronus site for your operating system.
  2. 2Run the installer, follow the prompts, then open Zen Studio.
  3. 3Connect your Zen to your computer with the included USB cable.
  4. 4If prompted, let Zen Studio update the device firmware before you continue.

Tip: Always download from the official Cronus site to avoid corrupted installs.

Guide 3

Download and load your Aboki script

Once you have a script from your account dashboard, loading it onto a slot takes under a minute.

  1. 1Grab your GamePack from your account dashboard after checkout.
  2. 2Open the .gpc file in Zen Studio (File > Open, or drag it into the window).
  3. 3Click Program Device and pick a slot to write the script to.
  4. 4On the Zen, tap the slot button until your new script’s slot is selected.

Tip: Keep one game per slot so you can switch titles instantly.

Guide 4

Connect on PlayStation (PS5 and PS4)

PlayStation needs a quick controller bypass so it keeps recognising your setup. It only takes a few seconds each session.

  1. 1Plug the Zen’s OUTPUT port into your PS5 or PS4 with a USB cable.
  2. 2Plug your primary controller into the Zen’s controller port.
  3. 3When the lights flash, briefly plug an authentication controller into the second Zen port, then unplug it.
  4. 4Wait for the slot light to go solid — you are connected and ready to play.

Tip: A genuine wired controller works best for the authentication step.

Guide 5

Connect on Xbox (Series X|S and One)

Xbox uses a wired controller for authentication, similar to PlayStation but without a timed window.

  1. 1Connect the Zen’s OUTPUT port to your Xbox with a USB cable.
  2. 2Plug a wired Xbox controller into the second Zen port for authentication.
  3. 3Plug your main controller into the controller port.
  4. 4Select your script slot on the Zen and start your game.

Tip: Keep the authentication controller plugged in — Xbox re-checks it periodically.

Guide 6

Connect on PC

PC is the simplest platform — no authentication controller is required.

  1. 1Plug the Zen’s OUTPUT port into a USB port on your PC.
  2. 2Plug your controller into the Zen’s controller port.
  3. 3Windows recognises the Zen as a standard controller automatically.
  4. 4Pick your script slot and launch your game.

Tip: For mouse-and-keyboard, plug them into the Zen’s expansion port and configure in Zen Studio.

Guide 7

Hard reset the Zen

A hard reset clears a frozen device and is the first fix to try when something behaves oddly.

  1. 1Unplug the Zen from your console or PC completely.
  2. 2Hold the slot/program button while you re-plug the USB cable.
  3. 3Keep holding until the display cycles, then release.
  4. 4Re-select your script slot once the device finishes booting.

Tip: If reset doesn’t help, re-flash the slot in Zen Studio — a corrupted script is a common cause.

Guide 8

Update the Zen firmware

Keeping firmware current keeps console bypasses working after platform updates.

  1. 1Open Zen Studio and connect your Zen by USB.
  2. 2Accept the firmware update prompt when it appears at the top of the app.
  3. 3Do not unplug the Zen during the update — leave it plugged in until it finishes.
  4. 4Re-program your slots if the update reset them.

Tip: Update firmware right after a console system update.

Guide 9

Common PlayStation setup mistakes

Most PlayStation connection issues come down to a handful of avoidable mistakes.

  1. 1Wrong port: the cable to your console goes in OUTPUT, not the controller port.
  2. 2Skipping the authentication tap: PS5 needs that brief second-controller plug-in.
  3. 3A flat wireless controller: charge it or use a cable before authenticating.
  4. 4Outdated firmware: update in Zen Studio after every PS5 system update.

Tip: If bypass keeps dropping, try a different USB cable — charge-only cables won’t pass data.

Guide 10

Claim your Aboki Discord role

After you buy, link your Discord to unlock the member channels and your script downloads.

  1. 1Join the Aboki Discord and open the verification channel.
  2. 2Connect the Discord account you want the role on when prompted.
  3. 3Your role is granted automatically once your purchase is matched.
  4. 4Open the member channels to grab your scripts and follow patch-day updates.

Tip: Use the same email at checkout and on your account so the role matches instantly.
